The attached trailer shown in the photos was custom built new in 2015, and carried our Nissan XTrail, pushbikes, surfboards, camping gear, photography gear, etc. The rear door folds down to make a full ramp with steel reinforcing for a car to drive in and out, and there is a side access door for easy access to the front storage part of the trailer.
The front of the trailer has an angled top for aerodynamics. Internally the trailer is also fitted with a shelf at the front for maximum use of the storage space. There are four lashing points welded to the floor/frame of the trailer for securing a car, and there are fastening loops fitted to the roof of the trailer, the front shelf, and the floor.
We hung our surfboards off the roof of the trailer for safe carrying and easy storage. We lashed down our camping gear to the shelf, with our pushbikes lashed to the front wall of the trailer so they didn’t bounce around. And we lashed the roof cage down to the floor of the trailer with a few other items that fitted snugly under the car between the wheels.
The trailer has the following specs:
Internal Dimensions: 6.05m long x 2.35m wide x 2.15m high
Ramp Opening: 2.1m wide x 1.95m high
Brakes: Electric Brakes & Electric Break-Away System
